“We are thrilled to welcome Brittany back to Ӱ̳ as the new Assistant Director for Pre-Health Professions,” said Melissa Cole, Dean of the College of Health. “Her robust background in health professions advising and deep understanding of our mission aligns perfectly with our vision for the College of Health. With Brittany’s leadership, I am confident we will enhance our ability to support students on their discernment journey in healthcare, contributing significantly to the growth and success of our Pre-Health programs in Northeast Ohio and beyond.”
In her new role, Kincaid will support pre-health students through one-on-one advising, fostering engagement in pre-health campus organizations, and working with the Health Professions Advisory Committee (HPAC) at Ӱ̳, which provides students with valuable letters of evaluation and recommendations for healthcare professional schools and programs.
“Brittany has personally experienced Ӱ̳’s commitment to cura personalis, or care for the whole person, which she now brings to her role in Pre-Health Professions,” said Tara Jenner-Donaldson, DMH, MMH, Director of Pre-Health. “With her passion for holistic wellness and whole-person support, she embodies Ӱ̳’s mission. We are excited for Brittany to accompany pre-health students during their time here and equip them for bright, fulfilling futures in the health professions.”
Kincaid is equally enthusiastic about her new role and Ӱ̳’s mission. “There is a need to put the ‘care’ back into healthcare, and I believe Ӱ̳ can be a leader in that effort,” said Kincaid. “Many pre-health students are pursuing ambitious goals, and it’s uniquely rewarding to assist them as they prepare for demanding and essential roles in society. I am truly passionate about helping students navigate this journey and helping them realize that their dreams are closer than they may believe.”
